In 2019, Xingwu joined Prof. Wenyu Lu’s laboratory at the School of Chemical Engineering, Tianjin University. Under Prof. Lu’s mentorship, he acquired extensive knowledge in bioengineering. During his senior year, he joined Prof. Yumiao Zhang’s laboratory, where he conducted research on metal-organic frameworks and drug delivery systems. Throughout his graduate studies, he focused on nucleic acid delivery systems and gene editing, developing strong proficiency in molecular and cellular experiments. Through his undergraduate and master’s training, Xingwu cultivated a deep interest in metabolism and aspires to make significant advances in systems biology. Fortunately, he met Xuhang, who is not only an exceptional mentor but also a close friend, and he will address the next level of challenges in metabolism research with the guidance of Xuhang.
