Our culture
We are a group of young people with a strong passion for science. Our lab embraces a flat hierarchy where all members are seen as junior or senior colleagues to one another. We believe:
- Science is interesting.
- There’s no such thing as a stupid question.
- You work for yourself and manage your own time.
- The PI’s responsibility is to support the success of lab members – not the other way around.
- Everyone is an owner of the lab.
If you find our culture as exciting as our science, we’d love to hear from you!
Postdocs
We are currently looking for postdocs with experience in CRISPR screening or genome editing. However, we value passion more than experience — if you’re excited about our research and culture, we warmly welcome your application regardless of your experience!
Graduate students
We look for graduate students with a strong interest in our science (including but not limited to metabolism, systems biology, genomics, and/or computational biology). Prospective students should apply to the School of Life Sciences or Center for Life Sciences graduate programs. If you are in the programs and interested in a rotation, please contact Xuhang!
We are currently interested in students working on dry lab / wet lab / both!
Others
Research Associate: We are currently looking for 1-2 research associates (post bac or post master) either with strong interests in our science (prospective PhD students) or interested in working as a long-term supporting staff member.
Lab manager: We are currently looking for a motivated lab manager to grow with the lab. We are committed to providing competitive salaries and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Undergrad intern: We warmly welcome undergraduate students who are interested in our science. We expect undergrad interns to function as independent scientists and work on their own projects.
